Practice at Halfway on a cold winter’s night. Heading into the studio this weekend to record some fresh tracks.

Boxing Day at the Bottle

poster-72-site copyWe all know the day after Christmas is a bit of a bummer.  The good news is, you probably have the day off work/school, have friends in town, and now…you’ve got kick ass plans!

12/26 we’ll be playing at The Empty Bottle, and this is a show you won’t want to miss.  We’re playing alongside a couple great Chicago bands, Unicycle Loves You, and We Will Eat Rats To Survive.  DJ Screeble Dee will keep the party alive between sets, so you can essentially shake it non-stop, all night long.

The Empty Bottle is one of the best places to see rock music in Chicago, and they have a mighty fine (and affordable) selection of beers, wines, and spirits that will be sure to keep you warm on this predictably cold winter’s night.

So come on out and keep the festivities rolling all the way until the new year!  Tickets are available here.

LPD Retrospective

A nice look at the Laughing Prairie Dog Festival we participated in over the weekend.  Many thanks to WPGU for putting together this awesome event, and for letting us be a part of the inaugural lineup!

LPD Festival

This Friday at Canopy Club!

Looking for something awesome to do this weekend?  Well, we’ve got your answer.  Friday night we’ll be playing at the Laughing Prairie Dog Festival in Champaign-Urbana, hosted by WPGU and Canopy Club.

It’s the inaugural year of the festival, and they are kicking it off with one hell of a lineup which includes:

Smoking Popes, Headlights, Hood Internet, Santahh, Common Loon, and your very own, Pet Lions.

We’ve never had a bad night in Champaign-Urbana, and we don’t plan on starting this weekend.  Nothing like a great lineup of bands in the heart of a great college town.  That means lots of music, and lots of partying.  So come join us!
