We’re packing up Catface and hitting the road to Austin, Texas next week for this years South by Southwest festivities. If you’re going to be in the area, you should definitely come see us play at any or ALL of the following times and locations:

Monday, March 22nd, we’re playing a FREE SHOW at The Empty Bottle! It’s also a homecoming show of sorts, as we’ll just be arriving back in Chicago from a trip down to Austin, Texas for SXSW.
The show is totally free, so come on and out and bring everyone you know. Empty Bottle always rocks.

SOLD OUT!
Thanks to everyone who came out The Hideout Saturday night, and sorry to everyone who was turned away due to the show selling out. We hate to send anyone home from one of our shows, but it’s always awesome when you great folks come out and support us like that. Also, for the record, we rarely send people home, so don’t start worrying about that!
Also, thanks to DJs Bald E. and Mother Hubbard, along with all their guests, who kept the party shaking into the early hours of the morning. It was our first gig at The Hideout, and we definitely want to get back there in the near future. What an awesome place to see/play a show.

Join us Saturday, February 27th at The Hideout in Chicago for the Life During Wartime Dance Party. We are playing as ‘special live guests’ before resident DJs Bald E. and Mother Hubbard take over and continue what will be an all night dance party. This is our first appearance at The Hideout, an awesome venue we’ve been anxious to play at. It’s going to be a great time, so be sure you’re there.

We all know the day after Christmas is a bit of a bummer. The good news is, you probably have the day off work/school, have friends in town, and now…you’ve got kick ass plans!
12/26 we’ll be playing at The Empty Bottle, and this is a show you won’t want to miss. We’re playing alongside a couple great Chicago bands, Unicycle Loves You, and We Will Eat Rats To Survive. DJ Screeble Dee will keep the party alive between sets, so you can essentially shake it non-stop, all night long.
The Empty Bottle is one of the best places to see rock music in Chicago, and they have a mighty fine (and affordable) selection of beers, wines, and spirits that will be sure to keep you warm on this predictably cold winter’s night.
So come on out and keep the festivities rolling all the way until the new year! Tickets are available here.

Looking for something awesome to do this weekend? Well, we’ve got your answer. Friday night we’ll be playing at the Laughing Prairie Dog Festival in Champaign-Urbana, hosted by WPGU and Canopy Club.
It’s the inaugural year of the festival, and they are kicking it off with one hell of a lineup which includes:
Smoking Popes, Headlights, Hood Internet, Santahh, Common Loon, and your very own, Pet Lions.
We’ve never had a bad night in Champaign-Urbana, and we don’t plan on starting this weekend. Nothing like a great lineup of bands in the heart of a great college town. That means lots of music, and lots of partying. So come join us!

A Sunny Day in Glasgow
We’re very excited to be playing with A Sunny Day in Glasgow this Thursday night at Bottom Lounge in Chicago. They’re a great band on tour from Philadelphia, and we’re quite sure you will enjoy their set. The show starts at 9pm with Color Card and Apteka; then it’s us, your very own Pet Lions, before ASDIG. Is it cool if I just abbreviate that?
We really hope you can join us for what should be a great night of live music this Thursday, and feel free to bring your whole crew along. They need to get out more. Tickets are available at the door, but cheaper if you buy now. The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Don’t forget to grab your tickets for the show at Bottom Lounge next week, 11/19. You can also get them at the door, but it’ll cost you a few bucks more. It’s a 17+ show, and starts at 8pm with this great lineup:
Bottom Lounge is a really great place to hear and see live music, and we really hope you can make it out for this show. You might even hear a new song or two we are considering for our forthcoming record. I guess you’ll just have to come and find out! Hope to see you there.
